Sad because our cool neigbours, Rob and Sara (pronounced saw-rah, not sair-rah) – from England, have moved down near the lake in Ajax
They moved in next door last spring, and we hit it off right away. Hopefully we will still hang out. Their new home is amazing! It’s HUGE and has a nice layout. I helped them move today, for about 6 hours – it was just Rob and I moving all their big furniture and last bits and pieces. Sara was packing everything while we were back and forth from their new place. Took two trips with one of those Budget cube trucks. Laura helped by taking care of their kids, Jack (hilarious 9 year old) and Rommie who is 13 months, and named from the show Andromeda. Needless to say I’m a bit sore and will probably be worse tomorrow.
But today is also a joyous day because Kylah is cuter than ever, and she is getting so good with her walker – this is what really gets me. There’s something about the walking that makes her seem more grown up to me. *sigh* I guess she will keep growing up so I should get used to it! Anyway, here’s a video I took today while Kylah was using her walker (incidentally given to us by Rob and Sara). I hope you like it!

Hey Everyone!
It’s Laura! I feel like it’s been forever since I wrote on here. Life has just been insanely busy lately… and when you’re busy, it goes by quickly. Kylah is now almost 10 months old and I wonder where all the time has gone! People always told me that I better just enjoy these times while I can and now I know exactly what they mean. Before I know it, she’ll be off to university. NOOOOO!!! She’s getting cuter and cuter everyday and her personality is coming out more and more. She’s still such a happy baby but definately is getting her own little mind! She gets very upset when something is taken away from her, and she “talks” very passionately… haha. I just wish I could understand what she’s saying! I’m glad she has such strong convictions. haha.
Josh and I are going away for a night for the very first time since before Kylah was born on Feb. 2nd. I bought us a night and dinner at the Drake Hotel for Josh’s Christmas gift. I was really nervous about it when I gave it to him, but now I’m not worried at all. Kylah is pretty much weaned and is becoming more and more independent from her mommy and daddy so she’ll do great. It helps my nerves that my sister is going to take her for the night. If there was anyone else to take care of her, it would be Sarah. It’s great because Abbey and Kylah pretty much entertain themselves when they’re together. It’s a lot of fun to watch them interact. They have a very special relationship already… hopefully it lasts as they grow up! Anyway, Josh and I are so looking forward to getting out together. We’re promising to only talk about Kylah a couple of times during that time. We need to talk about other things!!
My maternity leave is up in 2 months which is very hard to believe and I’ve started to think about going back to work. I’m not going back to Muskoka Woods so I’ve been exploring other options. I had a meeting today with a potential employer and it’s looking good for me to start there at the beginning of April. I was wanting something from home part time and it’s looking like that will happen! It also allows me to move up to camp in the summer as well. Couldn’t ask for a better situation! Continue to pray for me about this whole job stuff. I’m really struggling with it… especially Kylah was screaming in her bed while I was on the conference call today. Makes me wonder how the heck it’s possible to work at all with a baby demanding the majority of my time. BUT you gotta do what you gotta do right??
Anyway, here are a bunch of new pictures for you! Enjoy!

Kylah got a great little tent for Christmas. I took a video of her playing in it – she seemed rather timid at first but she loves it so much. Things to look for:
1. Kylah sort of dances.
2. Laura says in the background, “I feel like a new woman” (she said this because I got up with Kylah and let her sleep until 1:00pm)
3. Laura says, “What kind of coffee did you make?” (apparently she did not realize I was videoing)
4. Kylah waves goodbye.I hope you like it! Definitely more to come!

Hi everyone!
Even though the last post was December 28, we haven’t had any photos in almost a month! Wow so much has happened in the past month – not the least of which was Christmas!! Laura made this great photo album with millions of photos for you to enjoy – it is about a week old because we were having issues uploading the album. And go figure I’ve taken about 300 more photos since then. But there will be time for those later. Without further adieu, here is the album:
…and one more thing… for all intensive purposes the correct way to say it is, “For all intents and purposes.” Haha! The things you learn while watching King of Queens!
